Viva la Mexico, it’s time for a proper fiesta! Big Juan is a brand new release from Pragmatic Play with a cheerful Mexican theme. The slot has five reels, four rows, 40 fixed paylines and four different fixed jackpots that you can hit!
Overview
The Mexican theme is executed really well and shows absolutely everywhere in the game all the way down to the mariachi style background music. All the symbols of the game also represent things you would definitely expect to see in Mexico; there is colorful guitars, hot sauce bottles, chili paprikas, chihuahuas with sombreros, piñatas, señoritas and of course the señor Big Juan himself.
During the base game there is a feature called Wild Switch which is triggered when you get 6 or more matching symbols on your three middle reels. This feature turns all those symbols to Chili Wild -symbols, which works as a regular wild substituting any other symbol to create a win. Chili Wilds can appear without the switch feature too, and it is also the highest paying symbol of the game.
The jackpots can be won during the Respins Feature, which is activated when you get 3-5 Piñata Scatters anywhere on your reels. This awards you either with 10, 12 or 15 Free Spins depending on the amount of scatters you got. However the game area is completely changed for the feature, as it plays on 3×3 grid with a spot for one extra symbol on the right side of the area.
During the feature you will have a moneybag symbol stickied in the center of your 3×3 grid, while three kinds of symbols land around it; cash symbols, extra spin symbols and jackpot symbols. You need to also land a win symbol on the extra position on the right side to collect the cash and jackpot symbols from your grid. Cash symbols award you with cash of course, while the jackpot symbols fill the respective jackpot meters. Lastly there is also a boost symbol which can land on the extra position and this adds all the cash symbols on that spin to your moneybag symbol, which keeps filling during the whole feature.
