Summer came early! Yggdrasil’s new release Bugs Money is a vibrant and colorful summer themed slot with cute cartoonish graphics depicting the many bugs and critters you would find from your local park during those beautiful warm summer days. Overview
Bugs Money actually has a very classical feel to it, and we mean that in the best possible way, meaning that there are no overly complicated mechanics, thousands of winlines or never-seen-before features in this game. Instead what you get is a simple classical style slot game, which focuses on the basics and combines it all into this beautiful package that just works wonders.
The game has a very basic layout consisting of five reels with three rows on each of them, giving the player a total of 10 winlines. It also comes with a quite lucrative maximum win of 55,028x your stake, which is made possible by the win multipliers and Wild features the game has.
The Wild-symbol in this game is nothing special in itself, as it works just like you would expect one to work – it can land on any reel and replaces any other normal symbols in order to create a win for the player. The real fun comes with the Glow Wilds feature, which can randomly trigger on any spin. When this happens, the game will dash out a random amount of Wild symbols all over your reels, with the minimum being three added Wilds.
Win Multiplier comes into play during the Free Spin feature of the game, which is triggered by landing minimum of three Scatter-symbols anywhere on your reels. The Free Spin feature works exactly like the main game does, but now there is also an additional honey comb meter above your reels which rolls a random Win Multiplier for you before each spin. The possible outcomes for the Win Multiplier are decided before the whole Free Spin feature starts, as you have four different options to choose from with varying number of Free Spins and Win Multiplier possibilities;
Option 1: Get 3 Free Spins with random win multiplier of 5x, 10x, 20x or 50x
Option 2: Get 7 Free Spins with random win multiplier of 3x, 5x, 10x or 20x
Option 3: Get 10 Free Spins with random win multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x
Option 4: Get 15 Free Spins with random win multiplier of 1x, 2x, 3x or 5x
All of these options are always available to choose from when you just land the three Scatter-symbols needed to activate the Free Spin feature, so the number of Scatters wont affect your choices in any way. No matter what option you pick, there is also a special Queen Bee symbol in the Free Spin feature and if that lands on your reels, the current win multiplier for that spin will get a 10x boost!
Finally the game also has a Golden Bet feature that you can activate during the base game. This increases your stake by 50%, but it also doubles your Chanz of triggering the Free Spin feature.

All in all, we feel like this is just an all-round feel-good type of classical slot game. It’s bit like how nearly all slots used to be just 10 years ago, before the game providers started to come up with all kind of complex features and weird reel setups that might not even make any sense at first glimpse. In one way it almost feels refreshing again, to not have any of those things included and instead just being able to enjoy a good gaming session with a normal easy-to-understand slot machine!
