There are probably very few online casino players that wouldn’t have heard about NetEnt. And for a good reason of course; they were the pioneers of online casino games, they are still the biggest game provider around today and their creations are among the favorite games of many players. Even our own players at Chanz voted NetEnt’s Gonzo’s Quest as the best slot of the year, topping only Starburst – another NetEnt classic.
History
NetEnt was founded already back in 1996 by Pontus Lindwall, so the company is almost quarter century old by now! Back then it was part of Cherryföretagen AB (later shortened to just Cherry), which provided traditional slot machines to restaurants in Sweden. First online casino was launched in 2000 and few years later in 2007 NetEnt spun off from Cherry and listed on NGM Equity (Nordic Growth Market). Two years later in 2009 NetEnt moved to the main list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
Today NetEnt’s online slot portfolio is nothing short of impressive, as it boasts over 200 games. They still keep developing new, high-quality games and just released their very first own Megaways-games; Divine Fortune Megaways and Twin Spin Megaways. Try them and many other NetEnt classics loved by players all over the world at chanz.com!
