Free Reelin’ Joker is the newest addition to the Play’n GOs super popular Joker-series, which is all about the old-school retro-style slot machines. The games in the series are almost completely stripped-down from any complicated game mechanics and instead of those, these games rely heavily on the simplicity, ease of play and those sweet, sweet, nostalgic retro-vibes!
Overview
Free Reelin’ Joker stays true to the simplistic mechanics of the series with only three reels and one winline in the basegame. The main feature of the game can change this temporarily though, as you can get extra reels with the Free Reelin’ Fun feature, which can be triggered with Wild-symbols. There are two kinds of wilds in the game; the normal Joker-wild and the Golden Joker -wild. Both of these wild-symbols work as you would expect them to work, replacing any other symbol to create a winning combination. The Golden Joker -wild will come with an additional 2x win multiplier, but you can land only one Golden Joker per spin.
The Free Reelin’ Fun feature is triggered when you land a 3-of-a-kind win which includes a wild-symbol. This adds a new reel to your setup and respins that new reel, while the triggering symbols will stay on their place, giving you a Chanz to improve your winning combination. You can get up to three additional reels and the feature ends once the sixth reel is added or when your combination doesn’t improve. Maximum win in the game is 1,000x your stake, and this can be reached only with six reels if you land five normal Joker-wilds and one Golden Joker -wild on your winline, as this would be 500x base win doubled to 1,000x with the Golden Joker.

It’s evident that this game is definitely not for everyone. We feel like this is one of those games that you will either love or hate. Some players will absolutely love the kind of back-to-basics style in a fun retro spirit, where everything unnecessary is stripped down and the focus is only in your one winline. On the other hand this surely leaves some other players wanting for more, and this is completely fine too – as we surely offer something for everyone at Chanz!
