Thunderkick’s hot new release Lava Lava is packed with some warm Hawaiian vibes, as some of the premium symbols are represented by traditional tiki statues and the majestic volcanoes dominate the view behind our reels. But even more important is of course the gameplay, so lets take a closer look of that next.
Overview
The actual setup of the game is commonly used one and offers no big surprises; you have five reels, 3 rows in each creating total of 15 winlines. Beauty of this game definitely lies in the features and there is quite lot of them! First of all you have the Multiplicative Wilds, which will of course replace any other symbol to create a win, but also comes with a multiplier depending on how many Wild-symbols you get on your winline. The range is 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x all the way up to 32x multiplier for five Wild-symbols on the same winline.
The Scatter-symbols have some special features as well, as they explode when landing, removing all the symbols from its row and reel. This will trigger a symbol avalanche, essentially a respin, where new symbols are dropped in to replace the removed symbols. The Free Spin feature is triggered if you manage to get total of 3 Scatter-symbols during the avalanche sequence triggered by the first one.
The Free Spin feature always starts with 10 free spins and you can get +5 free spins if you manage to collect 3 more Scatter symbols during the feature. The Free Spin feature works almost like the base game, but now you also get 1-3 randomly placed Wild-symbols at the beginning of each new spin.

We felt like this was really fun, fast-paced release that manages to keep your attention with its features. The volcanoes, Hawaiian tiki statues and sizzling hot lava create a nice warm atmosphere too, which is very enjoyable especially here on the Northern Hemisphere where we still have snow!
