Red Hot Sapphires is a brand new slot from Microgaming, and this volatile release relies on very classic design when it comes to the basic setup of the slot, as the game is built on five reels with three rows in each of them – creating a total of 10 winlines for the player to keep an eye on. However, even though this might initially seem like the simplest game ever on the surface, there is actually quite a plethora of cool features baked into this one. So without further ado; lets dive in and check what the features are all about!
First thing that caches your eye upon entering the game for the first time is most likely the big cash reward table right next to your reels. And yes, that is exactly what those are indeed; instant cash rewards that can be triggered by landing enough flaming Red Hot Red Sapphire symbols on your reels. The Red Sapphire symbol is also the so called Epic Strike symbol, making it undoubtedly the best and most desirable symbol in the whole game.
So to actually trigger one of the cash prizes from the display table, you need to land 5-9 Epic Strike symbols anywhere on your reels. This then awards you with instant cash prize of either 1x, 3x, 10x, 25x or 500x your stake depending on how many Epic Strike symbols you got. This is also constantly displayed on the prize list itself as next to the cash prize amount you can always see how many Epic Strike symbols are needed for the prize in question.
Additionally each Epic Strike symbol that lands on your reels also activate another main feature of the game by leaving behind a so called Bank’Em Wild Frame in the same spot where you first landed the Epic Strike. This frame will then stay on that same position for the next ten spins before turning into Wild symbol on the tenth spin cycle. Now if you happen to land another Epic Strike symbol on a same spot that is already occupied by a Bank’Em Wild Frame, then you will instead upgrade the win multiplier of the frame by 1x. This can be done ten times at most, meaning that the maximum win multiplier for a singular frame is 10x. The multiplier will be applied to your winnings when the tenth spin cycle happens for the frame in question transforming it into a Wild symbol.
Last but certainly not least we of course have the Free Spin feature! To launch it you just need to land three Free Spin Scatter symbols on your reels numbered #1, #3 and #5. This will then always start the feature with 10 free spins. The gist of the game doesn’t really change much here, but now you get four Bank’Em Wild Frame symbols randomly placed somewhere on your reels each and every spin of the feature. And unlike in the base game, now you don’t need to wait for the 10 spin cycle to finish before the frame transforms into Wild symbol, as during the Free Spin feature those transform on every spin.
This game really surprised us and we mean that in the positive way of course! This is one of those games that really look overly simplistic at the first glance, you know, perhaps even bit too simple meaning that it could actually get boring rather quickly… But that is definitely not the case with Red Hot Sapphires! Even during the base game grind those transforming frames and their 10 spin cycles made sure that there is always something going on and something to wait and watch for. But don’t just take our word on it; try the game yourself at Chanz.com!
