City of Robots
We had a Chanz to visit this wonderful exhibition, which is currently held in Tallinn’s newest mall T1. It is featuring 72 newest robots from Las Vegas, Beijing, London and Berlin.
It also has an amazing theater of robots, 11 breathtaking virtual reality experiences and space stuff.
You can test and touch everything, since everything is interactive! You can even hug and pet some of the robots! And yes, one of them even makes you coffee or tea 🙂
You will be greeted by Reety in the minute you enter the exchibition. This happy fella has been featured in Guinnes Book of Records and it is one of the most advanced robot dancers in the world. Give him a Chanz to show you, what he can.. Or is it a she..
This was something we really liked. Leave your loose bags and clothes outside the elevator, put the virtual glasses on and hold tight! The elevator will take you through cosmos in the way you have never seen before. And hold on tight in the handles, since this elevator really moves!
Take your seats, all set? In the Robo Theathre you can watch the performance of robot actors, and you can even go to the stage with them! Enjoy the show and take part in the experiments!
Interactive outer space
Become an astronaut and explore the Galaxy! You can create your own Big Bang, and find how aliens will hear your voice. You can also check what satellites are currently flying over your city!
Everything in the exchibition is labeled in estonian, english and russian. Most of the staff speak good english, so they can advice you how to use the robots.
You can reach the exchibition easily by tram nr 4, take it to the Ülemiste stop, and you can see the new T1 mall just next to the stop. The tram ride takes around 15 minutes from the Viru Keskus (Hobujaama) stop.
There is discounted tickets for families with children, you can get more info from the webpage.
So if you have few hours to spend, this is a place to visit, and you can visit the Tallinn’s newest mall aswell, what a catch!
