Overview
The overall feel of the slot is still very similar to the original Starburst, down to the symbols and even sound design of the game. This feels like a good choice, because the simplicity is surely one of the factors why the original Starburst has been so popular among players. Why change something that just works so well, right?
Of course there is something new here though, and that is the two different XXXTreme features that you can activate for your spins. These features guarantee you to get a Starburst Wild or two, which works just like in the original game – it covers the whole reel, sticks there and gives you a respin. So the two different options you have for the XXXTreme spins are:
1. Bet 10x the regular stake and get 1 guaranteed Starburst Wild
2. Bet 95x the regular stake and get 2 guaranteed Starburst Wilds
You can get Starburst Wilds on the normal base game too of course, these features simply guarantee that you get at least one with your spin. Starburst Wilds can only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, so you can have up to 3 Starburst Wilds at play at once.
And now comes the cherry on the top; unlike in the original title, now Starburst Wilds also give you a random win multiplier of 2x – 150x. These multipliers are also added together, so three Starburst Wilds at 150x multiplier would give you the maximum win multiplier of 450x. It has all the charm and familiarity of the original which surely resonates well within the Starburst-fans out there, but the multipliers and the XXXTreme features definitely spice it up and brings the win possibilities up big time.
