Sometimes you might come across the term RTP when playing online casino games. The definition of this three-letter word is Return To Player. To put things simple, RTP means the theoretical percentage that a casino returns to a player on slot machines. With table games, the term used for this is “house edge”. Both terms RTP and “house edge” refer to the same thing.

First, let’s take a closer look at RTP percentage. Every slot machine has its own RTP percentage which is normally somewhere between 94 to 99. For example, if the RTP of a certain game is 95%, it means a return of 95 euros for an investment of 100 euros. It is important to realise that the RTP percentage applies to a significant number of game plays only, not to each individual occasion the slot is being played. For example, if a slot shows a 95% RTP, you shouldn’t expect to win an average of 95 euros for every 100 euros you stake during a playing session.

When playing online casino games, you need to remember that the house, or the casino, always has the edge. If the RTP of a certain game was 100%, it would also mean, that the player and the casino were in the same position.

What is a good RTP?

You can find the RTP of a certain game normally on the slots’ info page in the casino. In Chanz casino this information is easily available, but if you can’t find the RTP for the game, you can find it easily online. Just use your search engine and type RTP + the game’s name on the search field and you can find the RTP fast and efficiently.

What is a good RTP percent then? As stated above, the RTP normally varies from 94 to 99 in slot games. You should target on games which have an RTP of more than 96. Usually the new casino games have an RTP between 96-98, meaning that below 95 is low and more than 98 is really high. Some games might have an RTP of more than 99, but that usually refers to specially priced bonus rounds which are significantly more expensive for the player than the normal rounds.

What speed is required to leave Earth?

A spacecraft leaving the surface of Earth, for example, needs to be going about 11 kilometers (7 miles) per second, or over 40,000 kilometers per hour (25,000 miles per hour), to enter orbit. Achieving escape velocity is one of the biggest challenges facing space travel.

Roulette School by Chanz

Roulette Basics

Have you ever fancied to try the roulette, but are not sure how its played? Well, here you are, and we have written a small info package for you to read!

Roulette is fairly basic concept, but there is still quite a lot to know. Normal reaction for newcomers is to be littlebit shocked when they see all the option on the board.

The basics are quite simple, or not… Guess the number, let the croupier spin the wheel, and if you guess right, you win!

The Roulette Wheel

American Roulette has 38 numbers: 1 through 36, 0 and 00. As you might have seen, the numbers are either red or black, and the 0 and 00 are green. Each round, the wheel is spun by the croupiers, and the ball is released onto it. As soon as the ball has about two more revolutions to go, the croupier calls “No more bets” and shortly the ball will be landing on one of the numbers, which is ofcourse the winner.

In the European Roulette there is 37 numbers, 1 through 36 and 0.

For the rest of this article, we are talking about European Roulette.

Types of bets that are to be made

The roulette table is comprised by two sections – bets on invidual numbers and so called group bets. Players can take advantage of two main categories of bets: Inside and Outside bets. The outside bets encompass larger group of numbers, and the inside bets are on single number. To make it more exciting, most of the bets offer different odds of winning, and this means also different payout from each other. For beginners, it can be littlebit challenging since payouts and odds are usually not listed on the board, with the exception of the columns bet’s payout.

Inside bets

1. Straight-Up Bet – it is placed on any single number, including “0”, and directly on the number. Its payout is 35 to 1.

2. Split Bet – it features two adjacent numbers and is placed on the line between these numbers. The bet may also include 0 and 1, 0 and 2, 0 and 3. Its payout is 17 to 1.

3. Street Bet – it features all three numbers in a row and is placed on the line at the end of the row. There are other options for its placement as well – it can include 0, 1, 2; 0, 2, 3. Its payout is 11 to 1.

4. Corner Bet – it features a group of four numbers and is placed at the corner where these four numbers touch. The bet can also be placed on the corner of 0, 1, 2, and 3. Its payout is 8 to 1.

5. Line Bet – it features six numbers (or two rows of three numbers) and is placed at the end of two rows, on the border between them. Its payout is 5 to 1.

Outside bets

1. Column Bet – it features an entire column and is placed on the ”2-1” box at the end of a column. Its payout is 2 to 1.

2. Dozen Bet – it features a group of 12 numbers and can be placed on the ”1st 12” box (1 to 12), the ”2nd 12” box (13 to 24), or the ”3rd 12” box (25 to 36). Its payout is 2 to 1.

3. Bet on Color – it features all of the red numbers or all of the black numbers on the layout and is placed on the ”Red” box (all red numbers) or the ”Black” box (all black numbers). Its payout is 1 to 1.

4. Bet on Odd/Even – it features all even numbers or all odd numbers on the layout and is placed on the ”Even” box (all even numbers) or the ”Odd” box (all odd numbers). Its payout is 1 to 1.

5. Bet on Low/High – it features all low numbers or all high numbers and is placed on the ”Low” box (numbers 1 to 18) or the ”High” box (numbers 19 to 36). Its payout is 1 to 1.

Other rules

If the player places an even money outside bet (Even/Odd, Low/High, Red/Black) and the winning number is 0, they are able to call “en prison” rule. In this case, the player will either receive half of his/hers bet, or the entire bet will be held in “prison”. If the imprisoned bet turns out be a winner on next spins, it will be released and the player will get it back without any earnings. But wait, there is always an exception: If the ball lands on zero on the next wheel spins, it now becomes a matter of debate, and depends on the table rules on that country/casino. So you need to check that on the spot.

So, now you are ready to hit the table! Chanz offers you many different kind of roulettes, and even Live Casino, where you can hit the numbers!
